Intro to Volleyball

April 2 – June 9

HOT Volleyball’s Introduction to Volleyball is the ideal beginner program for anybody looking to learn the fundamentals of volleyball. This program is designed for those new to the sport or who want to build confidence in their skills. Athletes will learn everything about the basics of volleyball from skills mechanics and terms to rules and regulations of the game.

No prior experience is necessary.

Learning Outcomes

  • Learn the basic skills and terminology of the sport
  • Learn volleyball games rules and regulations
  • Helps build self confidence in individual skills, expand knowledge and understanding of the sport

Additional Information

  • Locations: Loyola / 97th Street / 5th Ave.
  • Age Groups: Grades PreK-5th & 6th-12th
  • What to Wear/Bring:
    • Water bottles: All locations have water fountains nearby to refill your bottles.
    • Knee pads: These are necessary (Available for purchase for $28)
    • Athletic Wear: Gym shorts, sweatpants, track pants, t-shirts, etc. (No jeans, flannels, button downs, skirts, dresses etc.)
    • Gym sneakers or Volleyball shoes. (No Converses, Air Force 1s, Uggs, heels, boots, etc.)
    • No jewelry allowed on the court (necklaces, chains, earrings, bracelets, etc)

Note: From shoes to shirts, proper attire is IMPORTANT for everybody on the court’s safety! Coaches may refuse the athlete if athlete is NOT dressed according to dress code
